The only reason Mueller failed to gather sufficient evidence of conspiracy is because Manafort was bought by the promise of a Trump pardon and did not cooperate. Period. Manafort would have testified that at that Trump Tower meeting, there was discussion of a quid pro quo where the Russians would release the e-mails they had stolen in exhcange for Trump doing whatever was in his power to repeal the Magnitsky Act (aka "Russian adoptions.") Every participant in that meeting admitted that both of these issues were discussed, separately. Mueller only needed proof of the link between the two.

Nonetheless, what Mueller did uncover was proof of repulsive behavior on the part of Trump. And from this they try to spin it all as a "deep state" conspiracy. This entire Durham investigation was a joke, a waste of public resources.

It was amazing to me how little Durham seemed to know about the investigation he was supposedly investigating.

Now he could certainly be lying but if he's telling the truth that's nearly as bad!
AG Barr wanted another Ken Starr. Instead, they got Inspector Clouseau. Seeing a pissed-off Gaetz tear into Durham was just the icing yesterday.
