Remember to thank the Republicans for...

It is because of the Republican party that we have:

Legalized Abortion,
No mandatory prayer in schools,
Right to criminal jury trial,
Right to protest,

and many more rights. These rights are made possible by the 14th amendment which protects all of our rights from being trampled by the state and local governments. The 14th amendment was written and passed by the Republicans. So remember the Republicans are responsible for all of these things, and soon they will be responsible for the legalization of gay marriage.

For those of you wondering what the 14th Amendment does (in this context), it basically reads (almost all of) the Bill of Rights, the first 10 amendments, onto the states, making them applicable to all of the states as well.

LMAO the "Republicans" involved with that piece of legislation in no way shape or form are Represented by the Repugs who are in Congress now...but in regard to Citizen's United then that changes the dynamic.

I had fun watching Citizen's united in action rip apart the GOP presidential nomination process...Karma's a bitch.

😀

psst come here...old honest Abe wouldn't have a cold chance in hell passing your parties purity test.

He wouldn't pass your Democrat test either, but he's officially a Republican and was the head of the GOP, to say anything else is a lie.

AHHH!! The good ol'days, when to be Republican was progressive, too bad the party has changed into ignorant goose-stepping bible-thumping back-stabbing fifth-columnists.

Last of the anti-plutocrat Republicans.

edit: I do admit President Eisenhower did give a good (too late to do any real good) farewell speech.
A good read would be the reforms mandated in Germany and Japan.

Yes, because "the right to marry" is the clause in the 14th Amendment right next to Roe v. Wade's "right to privacy" clause. While the Republicans are wrong on the politics of both issues, at least they're not so narcissistic as Democrats are to think the Constitution unambiguously supports their position without "reading into" the text rights that aren't expressly there, or that the 10th Amendment might not be equally applicable.

While you're at it, you should thank Republicans for supporting the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to a far greater extent than did the Democrats, else legalization of gay marriage would have probably never come to pass.

LMAO....You obviously don't know how Dems roll...we don't go off the cliff in lockstep like your party does.

umm yeah, you can tell that by the fact the Libertarian side are going for Paul, the religious right is going for Santorum, the right wing are going for Gingrich and the establishment are going for Romney.
What are the Democrats going with ? Oh yeah, Barack Obama and no one else dared to oppose or run against him. You say the Republicans are in lockstep? I'm afraid the jokes on you.

Sometimes, when you come up with crap like this, are you purposely being a partisan hack or do you just don't understand politics. Anytime, the incumbent is challenged by their own party in primaries they have been defeated by the other party.
Yea, there's alot of things I and others in the party don't like about Obama (I'm sure for opposite reasons you don't like him), but the alternative of handing a victory to the Rebugs is unthinkable.

Thank you. You have brought joy and laughter to my otherwise crappy day. I guess I'd better say that the above is not sarcasm.
