Remember those Sprint PCS cards that were in the Hot Deals forum a while back? Anyone else get a bill?

I just got a bill for $1.86. Whats up with that? I thought it was completly free?
What what'll happen if I don't pay it? I mean, they don't have my SS# or anything. All they have is my name and home address. Anyone else get a bill?

kinda gay that we can't post this in "hot deals" where it can be discussed, I almost started to forget how anal the mods are...

not a typo, $707.xx .... the person I sold it to said it stopped working on 12/21 (which is about 60 days after the 10/23 activation date they claim)...1600 mins were used...I don't remember, but THEY claim it was used till 1/8/02...

i'm gonna call up tomorrow and talk to these bastards again...

Mine was in the $200 range.
Activated 10/11 (+60 would be 12/8 or 12/9 depending on how you count it)
Ebay sometime after that...
Activity billed for 12/23-12/26
Act Canceled 1/8

The supervisor said that since it was supposed to "die" after 2500min/60 days that she would adjust the charges.
And since the activity was after the point it was supposed to be dead.

I made the point that for my cell phone I had to provide all kinds of info, like Drivers License, SSN, address, etc...
I wasn't aware they would bill me for something that I didn't give all that info for.

I got lucky I guess.

Hmm... Never opened mine, but sold it on eBay ... Wonder how this one will come back to haunt me.

Aparently it depends on when the account was canceled.

Mine didn't get canceled until after the 60/2500.
Appears the guy didn't use it much, except from Dec 23-26.

Got my bill today. $2.16.
How'd you all go about cancelling it and ensuring that you didn't get another bill?
Furthermore, how'd they identify you? It's not like we have an identifying phone number?

Sprint give you any problems with just cutting the whole thing off to ensure you don't receive another bill?
I don't like it, but I'll pay the $2.16, but I don't want another huge bill coming my way.

Thanks,
Telstar

Update:
Here's what I did. I called 1-877-636-6804, explained the situation, and the guy just wiped the charge off my account.
He told me the account was closed so I didn't need to worry about any future charges.
Easy.

Same here, got a bill for over $200 even though I never activated them before selling
I am not too worrying though, since they cant expect me to pay for something that I never had a contract to pay

Just to let everyone know that I too called 1-877-636-6804 and got the bill voided as the people there had no idea why I got charged. ;)
