Back in High school, we had these stupid evaluations that tell us what career we'd be good at based on the info we provided.

Mine told me I'd enjoy a successful career as a Computer Scientist. Guess what! I'm finding out that I HATE COMPUTERS! Programming sucks, Networking is lame, hardware design is boring. And all the studying, learning and headaches with little pay compared to other careers. Just think, sales people make 5 to 6 times the money we engineers do. Something as simple as dentistry, chiropractor, etc makes 3-10 times the money we do. So many careers that are easier to achieve and pay off so much better. I've got to change careers.

Should've never listened to those test results. I'd be a pro fisherman or something more enjoyable by now.

Mine told me I'd be best off as a construction worker and that other people with my personality type included Burt Reynolds.

Now 5 years later I'm a software developer and I'm happy doing it.

Conclusion: Those tests are BS

Yeah, with all those careers you have to deal with people and sometimes deal with that person's life.... They should probably get paid a little more.

Just maybe you should have done a little more research before entering the field.

I just decided to forget what others said and do what I wanted to do regardless of money. At
I will enjoy my job once through college.

Mine said something along of the lines that I needed to be a hermit and should take a like job. Forestry and offshore drilling were the suggested careers I think. lol.

Way to base your entire life off of a piece of paper.

I guess, unlike the rest of us who were kids once, you've always been grown up and matured.

No, I just had sense enough to trust myself inside and not rely on a piece of paper to tell me what I want most in life. You should try listening to yourself sometime. That is.. unless your inside is still a child.
