Fact remains that even without any connection to the videos, ACORN has more than enough bad history to make anyone question if they should receive federal funds.

The supreme court didn't feel that way.

"Wholly apart from the vociferous comments by various members of Congress as to ACORN's criminality and fraud . . . no reasonable observer could suppose that such severe action would have been taken in the absence of a conclusion that misconduct occurred."

Great retort to the point ... expected. :(

At least according to O'Keefe, this was at every ACORN office they tried. As to being edited, seen any footage on television that wasn't? When (if) the unedited tapes are available I'll watch them, but it's not like this is the freaking Catholic Church. ACORN is continuously in legal trouble, so ACORN workers advising people on how to import underage children as sex workers is hardly surprising. (Although granted, perhaps the Catholic Church wasn't the best counter example to use just before "underage" and "sex". . .)

For one thing that quote isn't from the SCOTUS as you claim. It's Judge Nina Gershon of the Eastern District of New York.

For another, it doesn't say what you think (or imply). She (the judge) is saying that Congress did come to the conclusion that ACORN was crooked, and that's why they defunded ACORN.

Supposedly they had no wiretapping equipment and to my knowledge they have not been charged with wiretapping. Nice though that you have a problem with O'Keefe doing whatever he was doing to the phones but not a problem with ACORN getting tax money and advising people how to import underage girls to be prostitutes without getting caught.

They were actually asking about importing the girls to save them from prostitution, according to the NY DA. They kinda left that part out.
