Yeah, you're right there. And on top of that you have to close several popup or flash ads or the download page is nothing but a huge ad with a nearly hidden link to actually get the file.

Then again, bandwidth isn't free and as long as I can get the file I'll live with PITA free downloads over paying for it. You can also try http://www.filemirrors.com but they don't usually have the latest files. They didn't have the UT2004 demo when it was released.

Hell yeah I love that site. They're quick about getting the latest files, too. If you hate the idea of paying for bandwidth privlidges (as I do) please do your part and use BitTorrent, and leave your download open for a while after you complete it.

I agree..it's crazy. I finally paid the $60 annual fee about a week or so ago to fileplanet. I hate waiting in queues, etc. Anyway the only restriction on have on my site is no directly linking and for some that use download managers that don't send the referrer it causes them grief but it's the best I can do.
