Remember the New York, New York Casino in Las Vegas? Why isn't the WTC depicted as one of the buildings of NYC?

I figure they have the Empire State building, so why not the WTC? It was erected a few years ago, so one cannot blame it on the terrorist attacks of late. Ever since i've looked through this Newsweek magazine (or something along those lines 😕 ) which had a picture of the NY, NY Casino, i've been thinking. So why isn't it displayed as one of the buildings? It's strange, since the Empire State and WTC come to mind when you think of New York.

It does, I was there just a few weeks ago. I'm almost 100% positive it had a WTC tower. I want to say I discussed with my pa, who was with me, that it only had one of the towers rather than 2.

Was it the short little tower on the right side? I was thinking that it *might* be, but it was soo short compared to the other skyscrapers.

I thought it was the one of the left (looking at the from LV Blvd). It was shorter than the others. It may have just been a building that kinda looked like it. I've been looking for pics but none of them really show them up close 🙁

I think it is the building to the far right on this PICTURE. I live here in LV and know that they are out for flashy design, no really, and the WTC towers are not as architecturaly pleasing as the empire state building. They were great buildings with impressive engineering but they had to be as tall as they were to get the true feeling of their grandure.

I was there last summer ( before the attacks) and I think I do remember wondering why the WTC isn't part of the New York, New York landscape.

Is the building on the far left the 2nd tower?

<< No World Trade Center towers are in the replicated skyline, however, because the architects were zeroing in on the 1930s-1940s golden age of Manhattan, not a modern New York >>

<< Was it twenty dollars i pop? I forget... All i remember is that it was too expensive for my blood >>

?? for the roller coaster? i thought it was only 5 bucks

There's NO WAY it could have been five dollars. Maybe for the guests of NY NY, but for a tourist, i believe it was at LEAST > 10 dollars.
