Well I got mine today! And inside was a Lobster cracker thingy. Its a tool to eat Lobster with. Also came with a neat brochure for the Lexus GX. I was expecting something cooler like sunglasses or binoculars . . .

Sorry, this is not a Hot Deal. Please post this in the Moderator sponsored ~~~~ Brag & Moan ~~~~ thread.

Thank you,

Not worst, maybe, but wierdest. I thought champagne glasses would be more appropriate. But, I didn't have any lobster crackers till this came. So... Now I'm gonna go buy lobster, right? :p

I received mine today. Seems a bit light and cheap, but since I'll never use it anyways...

I got mine last week... It is weird indeed. I thought it would be like a first aid kit or something....

Got mine too. Not bad for free, I guess... but I don't get it, even after reading their explanation. How is it a survival kit? Weird...

I liked the Sports Illustrated Calendar a whiles back much better...

I think it's part of the "survival kit" to promote the ideal of high-living standards, which they want to be associated with. Y'know, lobster is an essential item kinda thing.

I guess when you're driving and get lost on a desserted ISLAND, a lobster opener would be useless.

How the hell is that a "survival kit"?

If I ever find myself floating in San Francisco bay, with no hope of rescue, and with only a lobster net made out of hair I pulled out of my head and wove together, I can use this "survival kit" to crack open the lobster. Of course, the lobster crackwer will be in the glovebox of my Lexus which is conviently located about 10,000 fathoms below me. But I will think of that "survival kit" as a lobster sits on my raft, taunting me, knowing I can not crack him open. I hate that lobster.

The survival kit actually makes a lot of sense, but is your typical over the top Lexus marketing style. Considering that probably 75% or more of Lexus owners basically have what amounts to a slightly more luxurious Camry (which is probably considered the most practical/cost effective/mundane/transportation appliance around - no offense) their marketing borders on facetious. This survival kit again fits in very well with that facetiousness.

Sure if you want to have metal shavings in your lobster, have you tried opening and closing that thing? Metal shavings up the wazoo
