...when online sellers were *BUYING* customers? Most stores were giving away $15-$30 with no strings just to get you to visit (and hopefully stay). Buy.com gave away $30 to new customers ("new" was defined as a unique email address). I guess this frenzy hit its peak in the fall of 1998....that's when I found AT Hot Deals!! Now days we go apeshirt when we get a free ink pen....

Yeah, thoze were the dayz. I remember I get soo many "free" DVD's from Buy.com. Those were awesome. But if you ask me, in about a year, when things calm down, and market picks up again, we're gonna see a whole new generation of e-commerce, and possibly have these people trying the same things again to lure us back in to all the new stores.

Then again, I could be wrong.
