The boy suffered brain damage and can no longer walk, talk or swallow. He lives in a nursing home and eats and breathes through tubes.

that is so sad, especially after seeing that pic of him there. i thought it was just a bad pic and I noticed the baby looked very pale and unhealthy, then i read the rest of the article.

yea. she was suing for pain and suffering IIRC. Police chief did the right thing here. There goes her pension.

He'll live the rest of his life in a messed up condition.

I loved how they told of her injuries and then went into his. After all her commendations and work, you think she would have more sympathy and common sense than that.

She got greedy probably, thinking she can retire early from this mishap. Well, all her career accomplishments went down the drain due to her greed.
