XFX sucks. Get something like a EVGA, Asus, BFG, Leadtek. One of those are better. If your rig is the X2, then the PSU is good.

ROFL...such a generic blanket statement, thanx.

I'm well aware that these forums have a bias against XFX, but i think they have improved alot, & hey...they have the second best warranty out there after eVGA, yes it's a better warranty than Asus, BFG & Leadtek

Also, i'm not getting the card anytime soon; i was merely posting this info for those interested.

I agree. I think that XFX just had some problems with the 6800gt, becuase the cards seem to be alot better, and they also have a lifetime warranty now.

I was under the impression that XFX was #1 seller for Nvidia's 7xxx generation of cards?

yeah nice card...too bad the cooler and LEDs face towards bottom of the case so you wont be able to actually see them (thanks ATX form factor)

I'd have to say evga ranks number one when purchasing a new 7 series card, but xfx ranks one when purchasing used. Double lifetime makes it a no brainer used card purchase.

Exactly, kinda pointless.

I actually meant that I thought I read somewhere that as a distributor of Nvidia cards, XFX was leading in terms of sales for 7800 series cards....I am not sure if that is true, but if it is, I doubt they make poor quality cards, since you'll have lots of users complaining very often. I believe XFX was also the first to market 7800GTX 512mb....

A litle off topic... But I have to ask you. What do you do with 1.55terabytes of disk space?

Good thing I have a V1100B which inverts the mobo, I could see the lights :) Except I'm waiting to Step-up to a 512 MB GTX, so I guess I'll have to pass on these.

I have an XFX 6600GT and it has been great. Nice looking XFX 7800 GT O/C. With the 7800 GT's falling below $300, they are very attractive in price.

Forget a warranty. That's all nice a good... to have a warranty. But how well do you honor the warranty. The reason why this Forum doesn't like XFX is because of their really crappy customer service. What good is hardware without compitent drivers? What good is a warranty without compitent customer service?

The reason why XFX sells a lot of cards is because of their cheap prices, but they reflect. Earlier, they hardware wasn't how it was in reviews and their customer service sucked ass. Until I hear different, I won't consider one.

definetly a nice looking card, but most likely i would put a NV5 silencer on it, and keep the stockcooler for show & tell.

I beg to differ, I have had 2 Rma xfx GTX'es and their customer service has been spectacular. Quick service and I always talk to a live person. On the second card they sent me a new retail packaged card, shipped express shipping. My first card couldn't quite handle 490/1.3(i had to underclock it to be stable), and the first replacement card hit 115c underload. The second replacement card is trouble free.
