if you remember my poll started a long time ago, I was talking about this really cute asain girl that works in the same department as me. Well I haven't really talk to her, and the only thing i say to her is "Hi" and "Bye" but hardly conversations. Well here at work we're all under Outlook and we all have this community email bla bla bla.

So the other day at work, I wrote her an email, just saying "Hi" and "How you doing?" ...........never got a reply. That really really sucks. Now i feel like a fool when I'm around her, and now I'm jsut ignoring it.....Its kind of like when you're being ignored by someone on IM when that person is signed on, and you notice that its only been like 4 mins that they've been on, so you know they are seeing your IM or something. oh well...... 🙁

You are insecure arent you 🙁 I think that is a symptom of the internet, we lose our ability to interact with real live people. Fortunately <perhaps unfortunately> I dont give a crap about how I look or how others perceive me, so I dont allow anyone to make me uncomfortable.

Like, if you wouldn't even talk to her in person?!?!?! It's a little presumptious to send and email without even first talking to a person face to face. It's kinda like getting her phone number from a friend and then calling her. If you like her, talk to her in person. Seems to me like email should be the next step to speaking in person, not the other way around.

The problem, too, with email is you write stuff and then you click and send. What do you want her to say in her reply? &quot;I'm fine&quot;??? That's just stupid. Send stupid email get no reply!

Don't wanna give you false hopes danny, but if you really like her, i think you should just try and create real life situations. Like have lunch with her and some other colleagues or something. 🙂

She was probably freaked out by the life size JLH cutout behind your desk. Or maybe it was the JLH blow up doll... or maybe it was the... 😛
 
yeah, like go share something you find interesting or funny, like say you walk in front of her reading a funny email or something, and laugh in front of her. she might wanna be curious and bam, you have something to talk about.

note: if it doesnt work, hide under some blankets and it will all work out.
 
well, its not like shes a complete stranger. We've had small chit chat once, like what music we listened to, and when we were sick, how being sick sucks.... I sent it 2 days ago, I knew it was a bad idea. And I do agree that I shouldn't have email her and instead talk to her, but now I probably wont. 1. because i have a feeling mundania is going to say something. and 2. bla! there are so many other pretty girls at school, and I would prefer getting to know a girl from school and outside the work area. Thank guys 🙂

oh and 3. my jlh would get mad if I came home with an asain while she was in her lingerie waiting for me 🙂

it's best not to create a mess at work.

Be VERY wary of hitting on someone from the workplace. It can easily be &quot;sexual harassment&quot; even if you send one email to the person.

Try to talk first, but don't send too much email. Also, learn how to take a hint. If she doesn't respond in a day or two, leave it at that with the email. Talking to someone at work will be the easiest way to get to know someone (vs. email), but if she really backs away from you, then you should just step back.

Falling for someone cute at work happens (*cough* my girl *cough). Your advances may seem harmless to you, but could easily affend/annoy her quickly.
