I remember when SWG was the game to play, in fact, I paid to play it, and made my money back and some. It was great. Anywhoo...does that game still exsist now that WOW is out? Does sony plan to make another game like it, it was a really cool "live in game" game. Do u still play the game?
 
That game was one of the biggest wastes of money ever. I hate to even think about how much I spent on that game thinking it was going to be awesome and it turned out to be a programmer's aborted nightmare.
 
I played for about 4 months, quit around xmas. If you're not going jedi it gets pretty pointless after a while.

I hear there's some Rage of the Wookies expansion coming out for it soon so I guess people are still playing.

They are still releasing expansions for UO also. 😉
 
The game is still going fairly strong. The loyal userbase is there, so their still catering to them. If you like flight sim games from the Star Wars stuff (X-Wing vs Tie Fighter n such) they released Jump To Lightspeed, which incorperates some really awesome space combat stuff.

I started playing for the JTL expansion, then quit again. I'm friends with "Kavol" a guy who is the leader of the largest player city in the entire game(any server). But yeah, if you're not going to go Jedi, it gets pretty freaking pointless quickly.

[edit] Oh yeah, they're going to completely change the combat system. The change should be done by now or in another day or two. I might give it another try, just because I have nothing better to do.
 
I was an addict. One day, I realized how much time and money I spent to play that tedious game. I've been SWG-free for several months now.
