The Good

Price – The ZTE Optik is available for the awesome price of $99 with a new contract from Sprint, or $345 outright, which is still a decent price for a 7" slate.
Design – The Optik's body is extremely comfortable in the hand. It's weighty, but not unbearable, has handy grip areas behind the display, and a spacious (yet unobtrusive) bezel so you can grip the tablet without accidentally touching the screen.
Display – For its size and price range, the Optik has a great display. There is a barely noticeable color cast, but overall videos and text alike look great.

The Not So Good

Video Playback – The Optik seems to have a few issues with video playback, often developing audio lag or refusing to play files at all.
Button/Microphone Placement – While the Optik's design is good in general, it's unclear whether the device is meant primarily for landscape or portrait use – the volume rocker works as though it were placed on a portrait device, as is the microphone, which is extremely easy to cover up when holding the device in landscape orientation.
Camera – While I don't believe photo or video capture are the most critical features for a tablet device, the Optik's camera could use some serious help.

Any Sprint customers thinking about picking one up? I think the on/off contract pricing for the Optik is spot on though.
