Remember school shootings?

It seems we have not seen one in a while (in the States). That's certainly a good thing. What was almost an epidemic seems to have died out after 9/11. Odd.

At least not in suburban, predominantly white, schools...since those are the only ones the media makes a big deal over.

a big difference between shootings at inner city schools and shootings at suburban schools is that the kids in the inner city schools do not go around and shoot massive amounts of people... it's usually a little more targeted and specific, at least in my experience.

Usually, but the media makes a big deal of it anyway if it happens in a school outside of the inner city, no matter how many people are shot.

thats how it is here in detroit, not an entire groupe being shot more like individuals being shot. but then again its detroit? theres shootings everyday. :/

Yeah, it's the typical Columbine type shooting vs. the wannabe Gangsta shooting. Both suck but two different motivations go into them.

serioulsy, and like right now while there aint any columbine shootings going on there is plenty of gangsta shootings, and if the media were to pay attention to how many people are being killed from these "gangsta's" i am sure that the numbers would be much higher than those that were killed at columbine.

Absolutely, both suck. And it sucks too that Columbine type shootings get blamed on violent video games.

that's not saying much. "one-time" things will always get more attention than little things added up. there's what.. like 18,000 muders for every 100,000? i bet you that if somebody managed to kill 18,000 people, that would get more attention than the publicity received by those 18,000 summed up.

i disagree... frankly, i've never heard of any (national) suburban school shootings outside of columbine and i forget that other one. there are some local ones where just a few people get shot, but you hear about the local urban schools too. i really don't see an inequity. perhaps because there simply aren't that many gang shootings in suburban schools, and there aren't that many trenchcoat mafia shootings in inner city schools.

not that many children of millionairs that go to inner city schools last time I checked....same thing with all the recent media attention of the abduction of the children of well to do parents while those that come from poor families get little attention if any...

bottom line is, innercity happenings don't sell the newspaper, magazines, <insert your publication here>...

You can have custom skins as well, I'm not sure if Klebold used them but they were available. A white supremacist site had a version in which they replaced the monsters with men of color(Research paper, don't ask for a linl, because most of those sites made me sick to my stomach)
