There's no reason to obsess over photo numbers. Polling shows that there are alarming beliefs that are widespread in the Muslim world.

I'd wager maybe 20% of Muslims are viable to participate in the modern world. Maybe even, I'd say maximum 40%... but too many fit the stereotype all too well. Too many of those who don't, still provide cover for those who do, they're too intertwined with them, family ties... national pride, religious pride, it's just a mess.

There are some lions which will hug humans, cuddle with them, because they're habituated to human beings... or at least a certain human being. Maybe if I show the footage of this heart-warming shit enough, I can convince everyone to allow a lion to move into their house.

These posts are disturbingly psychotic showing an extremely deep and real disconnect in understanding other humans. It's like someone watching continuous USA news coverage on shootings, kidnappings and general violence and then arbitrarily deciding only a maximum of 40% of the USA population is worth keeping.

The majority of Muslims neither dance in the streets to terrorism nor hold up signs apologizing to the USA. The majority of Muslims are like any other human beings, they don't lurk forums spitting rhetoric, they don't parade, and they aren't super involved activists. Rather they worry about providing food and shelter for their family and go about their day to day lives.

Polls may show they dislike the USA, the reasons for this too numerous to get into detail in this thread. However, that doesn't mean they will do anything other than getting up in the morning, prepare meals for their children, send their kids to school, go to work, greet their kids at home and then go to bed. Similarly polls show a large number of Americans hate Muslims, but they also will never be inclined to get away from their TV dinners to do much about it.

Wait, what?
You accused me of having BDS blinders on, and then flip it around on me?
LOL
How do you people deal in the real world?
My guess is you don't.

Flip what around? To me it sounds like you've got BDS, else how could you make a comment like you did?

I deal with people just fine, every day. Chicagoland area is very diverse, I'm still alive and kickin...

"I'm a liberal, but Muslims..."

Sounds suspiciously like your "thug" novels on the Trayvon thread.

They must be paying you well for your posting efforts, little robot.

He did such a fine job on Dr. Phil, too! ;) Typical paid but, but, but, I am a liberal democrat, nutthugger...

Wow... are you this disillusioned in real life, or do you just play this on the internet? So we went in wiped out their infrastructure and killed/caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis at the cost of thousands of lives, trillions of dollars, and worldwide political clout.

You mean, why don't I suffer from years long BDS that has been repeated so long, it has become quasi-Reality in BDS'rs minds? It's because I can seperate thinking from feeling. Hard, I know...

So we went and wiped out the infrastructure that we needed to wipe out, not all of it, that was already crumbling because of 2 decades worth of sanctions, killed only who we needed to kill or were accidentally killed because of the innocents fellow muslims provoking a fight in say a crowded market, watched as muslims killed themselves wholesale by the hundred thousands, did cost ourselves hundreds of billions of dollars because we went about the occupation and rebuilding the assbackwards wrong way, and lost worldwide political clout that really won't matter, given none of them matter.

There, fixed that for you.

What we got was taking a fairly modern secular country ruled by a terrible dictator and turned it a wreck of a country ruled by a highly unstable religious government. Yea so much better and so worth it especially when in the "long run" the old way probably would have panned out better. Unstable things don't make for good long term plans, but I understand why subtilities like that are beyond you. Yea GO BUSH!

What we got was a terror ran forced secular country that was good for only one minority party (and it wasn't even that good for them) ruled by a terrible dictator and his terrible regime, watched as Iraqis and their fellow muslims decided themselves to turn it into a wreck of a country despite our best efforts, ruled by Politicians who the Iraqis themselves elected. Finally after they decided to stop butchering themselves and got 30-40 years of pent up emotion and repression (mostly) out of their systems did their country start healing itself - because of what we went and did for them; which, no one else would do, but they'd sure sit and watch the brutal regime, speak really condemning words, and then do some oil for whatever scandal shit exploiting them. Yea GO (HYPOCRITICAL) WORLD!

Why do I have to keep correcting your BDS posts? Lets keep going...

This is why your standard republicans of today deserve no place in power. They can't tell the difference between going into a country and smashing it to pieces hoping it all magically works out in the end, and carefully helping out one side of a conflict largely in an attempt to minimize civilian causalities with very little long-term commitment. Also, by your reasoning we can look to the westboro baptist church and the uni-bomber to understand the true nature of todays conservative America.

This is why your standard democrats of today deserve no place in power. The can't tell the difference between nobly going into a country and helping it despite the best efforts of its own temporairily insane citizens and muslim brothers, and those same citizens and fellow muslims shunning the help and deciding to wreck the place and create as much chaos and killing as possible because they can. Also, by your own reasoning, we can look to the westboro baptist church and the uni-bomber, with some crack whore sprinkled in, to understand the true nature of todays progressive America.

The pictures look staged to me. Way too many signs with exactly the same words etc. They are just worried we are going to cut off their allowance.

We should cut all funds to Egypt and Libya. Zero $$$.

I was thinking this too after I looked at them again last night. That, and what is the deal, they have two magic markers in the whole village that just happen to have exactly the same color? I can conceive of scenarios where they created the signs in the same place with good intentions, and hence the markers are the same the group used, but, that's a lot less likely than this being staged.

Just looking at the emotion on the faces of the people in these pics, it really looks like most are like, 'Ok, have we been seen enough doing what we've been told to do? Yeah? Sweet...I need to call my kid protesting in the embassy and ask him to bring me home a piece of it.'

Remember that next time you make bigoted remarks at them, group them altogether, beat them up, deny them employment, destroy their place of worship, deny their right to worship, attack their countries, etc.

I don't think reasonable conservatives claim that muslims should all be treated the same. I'm pleased that these folks made the effort to counter that impression. It's alot better than what we saw in Pakistan after 9/11.

I don't think it's unreasonable, however, to scoff at the attempts by some to put mainstream Christianity and extreme Islam under the same microscope, as if the two were comparable.

Okay, does this kind of crap pass the forum rules for insults? For fuck's sake.

You can't take posts like this personally. There are certain posters here who provide entertainment value, nothing more. .txt is among them...

This. The usual suspects keep bringing up the Crusades as if they happened yesterday. Just to refresh people's memories, they happened roughly 800-900 years ago. And btw, the religion of peace was not totally innocent in that matter either. Just wait to see the collective howling of the libs condemning every Christian that ever existed if some nut-job kills an abortion doctor.

I bet phokus still thinks the perp in the Arizona shootings was a tea party guy in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

I'm not upset really; I just have no patience for people who seethe with their own brand of hatred railing against others for allegedly being hateful.
