remastersys backup

Anyone use it?

I just make a dist backup and tested it in a vm. It worked, all my apps and repos were still there. But I am still not convenced that if i reinstalled using it, and had my /home in tact on separate partition that my install would be the exact same.

I feel like there would be some problems, permission or something else.

Actually I did just that recently on my mom's computer. I Installed mint 9 x64, setup everything and did a backup. Booting up the live CD is exactly the same as booting from the HD.

yeah its a nice little backup.
