I have an original Acer Aspire one netbook with PU/PD mixed into a grid with the arrow keys. Fn is used for Home/End on the Pu/PD keys and the arrow keys double as Volume/Brightness. I'd like to ditch the dedicated PU/PD keys because I can never feel for them and always hit the wrong ones. I want to set them to the arrow keys like a Gateway netbook I've seen (also made by Acer/Quanta). I'd rather set volume and brightness to Fn + +/-, Fn + </>, etc. I have a program that creates registry keys for changing regular key functions (I can make Caps Lock function as Mute, for example), but I don't know how to do a real remapping of sorts. I can't even use it to change 4/$ to 4/[some other currency symbol].
Because the screen resolution is so small, I'd also like to set my Bluetooth mouse's back and forward keys to PU/PD or at least find a way to do it as a secondary function of the mouse wheel (hold a key, roll the wheel). It happens to be a MS mouse, but there has to be a way to at least disable Back/Forward without installing Intellipoint on my resource-starved netbook.
