Reluctant rodent stops responding until replugged

Hi --

Sometimes, usually when playing games, my mouse stops responding.

I've discovered that simply by nplugging then reconnecting it I can bring it back to life. As this happens in a number of games, rather then just one, it sounds more like a system problem.

I'm running Win98SE on a K7S5A mobo.

Anyone ever come across anything like this before?

Well since your modem is acting up too, I'd suggest you check your system power supply. Enter the BIOS, visit the Health Monitoring page and have a look at the voltages.

Well spotted! Unfortunatly they're two different machines. And the modem is an external... :-(
