So I had an interview with a company in Baltimore, MD (Linthicum Heights?) and they sent me an offer to which I am going to accept. I currently live in Carrollton, TX (Pretty much Dallas, TX) and I don't know the area that well. My current commute to my job now is around 30 minutes and I drive a small car. Do you guys have any suggestions on where to live? I'm 27 years old and single. Thanks in advance!

I'm not going to live in Baltimore, but I don't want my commute to be longer than 30 minutes if possible. As long as the commute is <30 min from Linthicum I don't mind as long as the area is nice

i recommend a house. though a cardboard box would be an appropriate second choice.

Well you have a few choices, Towson isn't far away for Linthicum and has college atmosphere.

Fells Point and Federal Hill have tons of bars and people in their upper 20's, both these area's are in Baltimore. They aren't ghetto themself, but venture too far away from the area and it can get bad quick. This is probably your best bet for a social life but it may be a little further away then living in Towson.

If neither of those area's sound appealing to you, you can always check out Severna Park, Glen Burnie area... they are more suburbish.

What are you looking for in a location? Easy access to hiking trails, biking, bars, beaches?

You can live in a house in Linthicum heights as it is a Suburban region and there are plenty for sale. My complaint about that area is you are close to the airport so it may get loud. If you want to be a little further and have an easy commute then live somewhere south of Linthicum Heights along the 97 corridor.

Federal Hill is very nice and is in the very southern part of Baltimore, so your commute wouldn't be bad at all. My GF currently lives there and I've never felt unsafe. The night scene in the area is pretty cool, too.

If you don't want to live in the Baltimore City limits, I'd suggest Severn or Hanover. Both are right off I-97 and are suburban areas. There's a gigantic mall in Hanover that should take care of your shopping needs.

What he said.

I'm also currently working near Linthicum too.

You can either rent an apartment, or share a house with people.

If you need any help finding places, feel free to pm me.

Thanks for all of the responses guys! This weekend when I get all my shit together and start apartment hunting I'll check out those places. This is the reason why I love ATOT.

Someone on ATOT is going to get a signing bonus because of me. ATOT networking ftw!

If you move to federal hill, I'll take $1,000 no questions asked.
