Relisys Monitor = Dark

My Relisys monitor is extremely dark. I hadn't noticed it until I started playing CounterStrike because in all previous games there was an ingame option to adjust brightness; in CS there IS an option, but you can only change the gamma a little, and its still VERY dark. I have checked and made sure all the brightness buttons on my monitor are set at max and still its dark, so I was forced to download Powerstrip, which works great it is just I want my monitor to be brighter on its on. Anyone know if there is anything I can do to fix/adjust my monitor?

It's generally a sign that there's a prob with the monitor. You may want to try diff gfx cards and drivers as they may help too. It's possible the power supply could be underpowered or minorly faulty, to test this you could set the windows desktop to be completely black, then maximise and minimise a window a few times, my friend LJ says, "If you notice the size of the image the monitor produces is changing dramaticly, then the power supply is weak."

Considering the prices of 17" and 19" monitors AND how much time you spend staring at the screen it makes a LOT of sense to get a new one.
