First of all this is not a flame war thread, just a vent thread.

I actually got a Religious spam today, I never thought I would see the day.

I have no problem with people believing in any god/power/spirit/whatever the d@mn well please. I am as much of an atheist as you can get and I do not appreciate people trying to convert me.

There is enough religious intolerance in the world as it stands now, why the hell does someone try convert me through email. THis is just too much.

If anyone cares this is the body of the email:

Before its too late make peace with GOD,

and make sure the ones you love do also.

You need to pick between a eternity of joy or one of torment.

Accept him.

Repent.

Get baptized.

And have a nice eternity.

actually Christians wouldn't send spam. It's probably someone who thinks they can make a buck off of Christians. If it's just a message from an individual and not spam, tell of the person who sent it to you if you feel that strongly about it.

I would hope that's the case. I really hope that someone isn't seriously stupid enough to think people will change their beliefs because of some random email.

I find that email FAR less offensive than the ads to clean out my septic system. Find something that's really worth whining about.

mjquilly - I disagree. those emails are money making scams, this is FAR more personal and offensive to me.

I don't see how that could be considered offensive - I realize that being Christian myself (although the email only mentions God, not Christ), the message is obviously not offensive to me, but if I received a similar email pertaining to a religion obviously not mine, I wouldn't have gotten worked up about it. I guess I just don't understand how someone sharing their belief's with you is offensive...
