Anyone here ever had a roomate who was overly religious, or you felt like you couldn't act like you normally would around him or her because of their religion? I haven't had this problem, but I see people like this around and I wonder! heh heh...

Yeah, I'm one of them. Being a Muslim in America is hard enough, not to mention in a university. But my roomie don't mind. he just walks around in head phones. But I really hate how unclean and tidy he is. I like my room to be spotless. (In case mommy stops by

I had one at school. He decided that I was mocking his religion. I am not a Christian but I respect everyone's right to believe anything they want. And he did not approve of my sex life, I was dating women and having sex with them. He was my last college room mate.

See, this is what i mean... i think that overly religious roomates (especially those that do not approve of any sexual contact) try to push their values on their roomate....
and thats where the controversy comes in!

Convicted, Dude! You are laboring under a guilt complex because of your obsessive compulsive masturbation. Your roommate just wants you to stop slapping the monkey all night. Give it a rest.

If he is a devout Christian and follows the Bible by the T, he should move out of your room. If their is something "unclean" in your way, it is your responsibility to get away from it. That is the teaching of the Bible, so if he is really a devout Christian, tell him to move the fvck out.

Oh you think that's bad? My cousin is a self proclaimed devout Christian (I'm agnostic) and tries to push her beliefs and moral values on me CONSTANTLY. Then she goes to church retreats to have sex. :disgust: And then complains about me to the rest of my family when I point out her hypocrisy.

NO PICS!

No, he means he only screws little boys at those church retreats, not girls.

Well, frankly I think the duty of any decent Christian (Me included) is to share the gospel, but trying to push it on someone who doens't want to hear is absurd. And it's also not a Christians place to point out the wrong in someone else's life. I may be waiting for marriage to have sex, but i'm sure as heck not gonna preach or harp about it to someone else who doesn't want to hear.
