You know how when something bad happens and you get that awful sinking feeling? Well, relief is like that feeling being vomitted out (feels the same).

I must say that I really love relief...like when you have a feeling you just made a really really big mistake and you're gonna F**k your life up, and then you just manage to squeeze past the problem. Ah...

I was going to make a wise-crack...but then I thought it could really have been something serious...soooo no wise crack today.

I know EXACTLY what you are talking about...I think everyone has had at least one "close call" that when you get by it you learn a new meaning of "RELIEF"

Glad things worked out for you!

Was the thread this morning just a scare? Did the company re-evaluate and decide not to lay off as many people?

I thought this was going to be a potty thread!

:D

I know what you mean... 'specially having kids. Too many times something has almost happened and the feeling you get when you know everything is all right is overwhelming.

Agreed. Relief is making up with your best friend after fighting for two days.

It borders on euphoric.

Skoorb, I'd say it's the second best, #1 is how I feel around certain people. :)

I have to learn 90 rocks/minerals by saturday...damn, I know that once I finish that damn test, I'll feel great!

By the way, this if for the Science Olympiad team at school. We finished 4th at nationals out of like a few thousand teams and I am most likely the only sophomore on the team, I just have to learn a LOT about rocks/minerals and forecasting by saturday (that is when the tests are to "finalize" my spot on the team, the coach already said she wants me on it). It's my own dumb fault for not starting earlier...oh well, off to learn a bunch of rocks...:disgust:

Heh, I kinda got stuck with two of the less glamorous events because I'm the youngest on the team. ;) My third event is bottle rocket, which is cool and fun, but depends on luck, a LOT! If you get a nice thermal (updraft), that bottle rocket will really stay up there!

It certainly is... even if it is just a really bad dream and you wake up to realize that all is actually OK...

Do you want to let us know what happened, Skoorb? You certainly don't have to, but I gotta admit to being curious!

No kidding, I used to have dreams that I did horrible things, & I'd wake up feeling guilty as all hell.

Then I'd realize none of it had happened.

Yep - and dreams where someone has died, and you wake up and realize you still have them with you. Especially if the dream long enough to even go through mourning, etc...

vi_edit Nope, I think I posted this before that other thread; pure coincedence - still gonna be job searching.
