Reliable place to get combo mobo/chip/case (aka barebones)? Those stores on Pricewatch seem shady

Pricewatch has a catagory for barebones kit, which is just mobo/chip/case and nothing else.

There are lots of stores on pricewatch that advertise $147 shipped for k7s5a/xp 1800+/300w case.

but each store has it's own way of cutting corners. some stores dont ship insured, and u wait 14-21 days b4 they build it. or others like Compubuzz.com ships it UPS insured, but no cpu fan/heatsink. (a volcano 5 hsf, cpu shim, and thermal grease for $29 more at this place).

so anyone know of a good, reliable, inexpensive place to get a combo k7s5a/xp 1800+/300w case for ~$150 shipped (insured)?

Well, I'm a moderator over at Directron, so I'm prejudiced, but they are a good, reliable, trustworthy company that has a huge inventory.

Anything you are looking at on Pricewatch you ought to check out against Resellerratings. With any of the big, reliable houses that offer excellent service and a real customer service department, you probably won't get the cheapest prices that you see on Pricewatch.

I can't say anything about shipping, because they're local to me (I just pick my stuff up).

The deals are pretty reasonable, and they've always been pretty easy to deal with if there was a problem.

wut? xp1800 + case +k7s5a for $150??? Do the retailers even make any money?????????? Lemem c........an xp 1800 oem runs for $100 on newegg.........the k7s5a is $54.................a case with a 300w psu is $42...........thats $196.........plus u want shipping???? YOu smoking on something and not sharing.
