I have used it for a while and found it pretty reliable: 2.9cents/Min. for domestic LD, (3.9cents/Min. if you use their 800#), pretty good phone quality, manage your acct (everything including recharge your CC & view your billing) on-line, 75cents/Monthly Fee only, besides no connection fee, no any hidden fee, accurate time-calculation...

good prepaid calling card site

Onesuite.com is better than Bigzoo. They have 2.9cents/min domestic rates using an 800# and there is no monthly fee or surcharge. The only surcharge applied is the one charged for using a payphone (like every other phonecard I've used it's 55cents).

The onesuite time has to be used up in 6 months. I didn't check Bigzoo I don't talk 345 min long distance in 6 months. May be a year.

Havoc13 - Take a look at BigZoo's Terms and Conditions which states,

Telephone calls originating from payphones will be charged a $.55 surcharge per call. Use of certain college dormitory and hotel telephones which behave like payphones will also incur the same charge. Customers are encouraged to check with their college or hotel to confirm if this charge is assessed.

I have had nothing but great experiences with BigZoo except for 2 rants:
1) During peak times their 800 access numbers are busy but after redialing 10 or so times you get through which is not biggie.
2) Calling obscure places like United Arab Emirates the line quality is poor but sounds great if you're calling the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, Asia.

I'm not sure what kind of online billing statement features that Onsuite.com has but I also like the detailed billing that BigZoo.com offers it tells me:

Date call was placed
Time of day
From time
To time
Minutes talked
Rate per minute
Amount

BigZoo and OneSuite are run by the same company. They also have a couple other sites with slightly different rates and offers targeted to different markets (youth, Chinese community, etc.)

For all you econ majors out there, what do you call this way of doing business?

walrus - the expiration conditions are the same for BigZoo and OneSuite (no surprise, since same company). 6 months after last recharge.

As a side note, I saw on a Los Angeles (where this company is based) freeway a guy driving a luxury car with "BIG ZOO" as his license plate. Hehe, must've been the CEO or something, turning our 2-3.9 cents/minute rate into a nice car. :)

Oh yes, and for all those adamently claiming that "BigZoo is NOT internet telephony," that's incorrect. They do use IP telephony. Not exclusively like Net2phone, but rather a hybrid system with the standard telephony purchased in bulk from one of the major carriers.
In the past, they didn't, and so they were able to advertise that they were not using IP telephony. Notice how that promotional claim is nowhere to be seen now? Wonder why?
