The mind boggles. One world exists outside of the barracks, then soldiers act like they've gone back in time to the seventies or earlier inside the barracks. The sheer level of overhaul the organisation would have to undergo to root out what they've evidently neglected for decades.

How the fuck does any billet get away with displaying confederate/nazi imagery? In Germany no less?

30 years ago when my friend went to tech school the group there was racist as fuck and basically as regressive as you could imagine. I think a huge part of it has to do with kids away from home and trying to feel strong and aggressive.

It's wrong of course and its the kind of crap NCOs have to stomp the shit out of.
