There's a song, the words go.

"If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, never marry a beautiful wife"

And.

"No matter how hot she is, someguy, somewhere is tired of putting up with her sh!t."

You got the lyrics correct.

Anyway.

Obeying stupid rules like not drinking at all only serves to show her that she's got you by the shorthairs. Be a man and stand up for yourself. Either you'll lose her or gain more respect.

Here's a thread where he posted pics of his gf: "Neener. . . ."

Some links may not be working, but the first one works. The archives for some reason act weird and repeat messages about 4 times. (I should probably bring this to the attention of the AT technicians.)

Anyway, there were a bunch of links with different pics, but I'm not sure if they are all still active. The first one certainly works.

Not really much to do with her ex (though it still bugs me a bit, but we've come to an understanding). I gave up drinking because I felt like it was a distraction and was making me spin my wheels, and for religious reasons too.

It's just complications with feeling toward marriage, family issues, religious aspects. All in all in it's a cluster fvck of confusion.

That and I haven't slept in 3 days at all, and unless I get some sort of chemical aid, I'm not gonna sleep tonight either. It's driving me mad, but I'm having repeated panic attacks, and my mind is playing tricks on me.

Anyway, I'm gonna go take a couple xanax and wash it down with a beer, maybe. Needed to vent. Thanks :)

And just FYI, our relationship is 95% good. Just happens that when it is difficult, it gets hard to remember the good. I think I just need to sleep.

At the moment... I agree that relationships suck... just because mine current one is in an extremely hard place right now (I refuse to believe that it's over)...

My b/f and I 'broke up' 2 days ago... however, it was really sudden, and we had been getting along perfectly just the day before. His reasoning was that he didn't feel any 'passion' in our relationship, and that he had never felt 'butterflies' towards me. My friends, as well as his friends (ok so most of thema fall in both categories...) agree with me that he broke it off because he is scared of being 'too close'... I was informed by a friend that he did this one time in the past, under similar circumstances. He has been burned badly in the past by those that he believed loved him... so I can see all too well why he would do this. The public's opinion of him means a lot to him... his self-esteem rides a LOT on what other people think of him. (I used to be that way... and wound up on the highest dose of Zoloft that my Dr could legally prescribe... and I was on it for 2 years. Sometimes I feel like I still need it.) I can't - and don't want to try to - force a relationship upon him... I just wish that we could 'start again'... possibly move along slower... I wish I just had a chance to convince him that I am not the 'bad-guy'... I will never hurt him... I care about him much too deeply to ever do that. Heh... I guess there are so many thoughts running thru my head at the moment that I have so much to say that I can't decide what to say first - so I'll stop here.

I'm still trying to figure out this whole "being single" thing, after 9 months. It's usually pretty good, except for the "urges" and when you think about how comfortable it is to have someone around.

ah well. I make up for my losses in electronic hardware and excessive spending. w00t. ;)

This thread sucks because it's making me depressed.

I would have to agree that relationships or a lack thereof sucks!

Yeah, Beau's gf's case might be just for religious reason. Or maybe there was a drinking issue. Hence she asked him to forgo drinking, for fear of it ruining their relationship. Hopefully Beau will explain the reason for no drinking at all for 8 months. Maybe we'll also get to know what made him make the statement tonight (i.e., "relationships suck"). :p

Beau was a raging alcoholic back in the day. Hes over it now though. This is when he used to be a stripper.

dude

You gave up drinking alcohol because your gf asked?? wtf
I've seen pics of your gf and yes she's freaking hot but you are insane to give up SOCIAL drinking because she asked you to.
I've been in a relationship a couple of years back where my gf tried to run my life. It took me almost a year to realize what was going on . I picked up my things, moved out and never looked back.

she's got you by the balls

[edit] if you were some lunatic alcoholic before you met her I could understand it but other then that I would SERIOUSLY reconsider my relationship [/edit]
