well it's all about pagerank.. last time I checked my site had a pagerank of 3.. I guess that's decent enough for someone to link spam it.
 
I've seen a big upswing lately in people trying to use automated guestbook/comment spamming software of some kind. It's weird how these things come in bursts. For a while I kept seeing all these porn sites flooding my logfiles with faked page accesses, always in exactly the same format, but then that died off completely after a few months. Who knows what next month's pointless but annoying trend will be?
