ReiserFS Problems

Ok, my Linux box is connected via Samba to my home network, and it has been used as a server for some time now. However, considering I haven't installed anything new on it, in the past few months my diskspace has slowly crept from 1 gig free to 200mb free. When I go to windows and right click on a file it could say for example 'size of file: 1mb, size of file on hd: 8mb'. How do I fix this?

I would avoid reiserfs, personally. If possible I would reinstall on something a little more stable like XFS (my preferance) or ext3.
