I have an old msi neo2 platinum mb and I will be reinstalling xp.
I originally had a single core chip and later upgraded to dual core. When I upgraded I had to first install a newer bios to accept the dual core chip.
So when I reinstall xp does that wipe out the updated bios? If so, all I have is the original drivers on the mobo installation disk- which has a bios version that won't work my dual core chip. I'm hoping that reinstalling xp doesn't have an effect on the bios version????
