Reinstalling Windows XP

I want to reinstall Windows XP to fix a bunch of errors.
I moved all my wanted files to the D: drive for safe keeping.
If I reinstall Windows on the C: drive, is the D: drive safe from the instalation on the C: drive? Should I unplug the D: drive or will it be left alone

It will be safe. Just make sure you format and install the OS on the correct drive.

Absolutely agree! But remember, errors in an OS are caused not by the OS itself but mostly from malwares and a very fragmented hdd with a lot of crossed files.
