Anything I need to do different? I've had this up and running on an ASrock Extreme 4 for 2 years now with a 500g HD and a 56g ssd.

Can I just pop the windows disk in and reinstall windows 7 as usual or do I need to do anything with the cache drive/intel rapid storage tech first.

Thanks

It depends on how and for what the HD is used for. In most cases you will not see any tangible advantage.

This setup is actually pretty sweet compared to booting off the HD alone.......I'm just wondering if I need to take any special precautions to re-install windows ie: disable acceleration, disconnect the ssd etc.

I can't find anything on re-installing windows on this set-up..

Thanks

Install Windows onto the HDD just like you did the first time. After the install is done, you will have to re-enable the cache drive.

There were no drives/partitions showing when the installation got to the part where you need to choose where to install windows....I'm assuming this was because you need raid mode selected to make the cache work for the HDD yet no raid drivers are needed?

I exited the installation and disablled acceleration and both drives showed up.
