Can I reinstall Windows 98SE without first formatting my drive and all that? My windows media player got messed up, and the only solution I can see is to reinstall Windows, but I don't really want to reformat and all that crap through dos.
 
Yup you can reinstall Win98 w/o reformatting by running the setup.exe on the Win98 CD or from the cab files you copied from the CD. It'll replace the newer media player w/ the old one. Then you can update it again.
 
Thanks, Trooper, that worked perfectly. I guess it reinstalled the media player core files cuz wmp7.1 works now without reinstalling it.
