Reinstalling DirectX 8 on WinXP???

Well I just picked up a gainward gefroce3 ti 200..

Problem is I made the mistake of installing the gainward drivers. Somewhere along the line directx 8 got over written...

Anyone know how to reinstall directx8 from winXp Cd???

DirectX installers fail if the version you currently have is the same or higher than what the installer is trying to put onto your system. So unless the drivers installed DirectX 9 you still have DirectX 8.1.

No, that's the version of dxdiag that comes with DirectX 8.1. Your DirectX version is 4.08.01.0810 which is version 8.1 because Windows XP has this version built right into it.
