Please help if you can... Searched through previous posts already.

I'm using a fresh copy of XP on an 80GB WD, now my old RAID array (3 200GB Maxtors) shows up as unallocated. I'm afraid to do anything that may write to the disk (250GB of data) and have obviously no room on the 80GB for a file recovery utility. I don't want to use disk management because I know a new partition will likely erase date. Anyone know how to get XP to notice this array, without spending anything?

Need to know anything else please ask! Thanks :)

not good, you use some special soft from SI to configure the raid right ? its windows based Im assuming
and after reinstalling win you installed this soft and it says there is no raid ?
what does the controller say at boot ? does it have a login key ? like Ctrl+C or something ?
did you try logging in ?

PS oh yes I hope all drivers are in place

You re-installed! Did you re-install the RAID driver in Win XP? If you did, is the RAID controller present in Device Manager? If it's not in the device manager, then you need to re-install the RAID driver to Win XP. The data in the RAID will not be altered as long as you don't do any of the following.
1. Fdisk the RAID.
2. Re-designate your RAID configuration
3. Format the RAID
4. Or Rebuild the RAID

You need to make sure the driver is present in DM first. If it's not there, re-install the driver. If the RAID is still not recognized by Win XP post again.
