Reinstalled ICQ and lost my contact list - Help!

I had to reinstall my Operating System and I'm now reinstalling ICQ. I made a backup of my ICQ directory before I reinstalled my OS.

How do I import my ICQ database from my backup to restore my contacts? I can't seem to find that feature in the program.

i lost my contact list when i upgrade ICQ. that sucks.

What version are you using?
If it is 99/98, you should see a 'db' folder.
If it is 2000, you should see '2000a' or '2000b' folder

Copy all the files in that folder from you backup copy and paste them the new db, 2000a or 2000b folder.

Upgrading your ICQ does not make you lose your contact list. Just install it into the SAME directory, and when it asks for a database update, do it for everything. I've never lost my ICQ contact list and I've done plenty of upgrades and even after HD formats.
