Reinstall windows from a USB CD-Rom

I have a old junk Dell laptop that came with Windows 98 and I need to reinstall windows but the CD-Rom on the laptop is toast. I have a external Iomega USB CD-Rom but I do not have USB support when I boot to a floppy and cant seem to get it to work. Is there anyway to get this drive to work when I boot up off a floppy so I can reinstall Windows.

Thx for any help anyone can give.

Win2K with SP4 slipstreamed in is the first bootable CD with built in USB CDRom support, so that you can install it from a usb CDRom. I don't think you will be able to get dos drivers for your USB CD Rom, but that is a blanket statement (Dos Does not support USB)
