reinstall chrome every day.

I Installed windows 8 and then 8.1,. I can install chrome easy enough, but after every reboot, all the chrome Icons (there are several) do not point to the program and I have to reinstall every time.

Tried a quick google search and found nothing.

IS this a common win 8 experience?
 
What happens if you hit the Windows key and type in the word Chrome?

Have you checked the path in Windows Explorer / File Manager to see if the program is still there (C: \Program Files\Google\Chrome I'm guessing ?).
