Reheating fast food

Other than the inherit health risks that come with eating fast food in the first place, is there something about fast food that would make it dangerous to reheat (either in a microwave or an oven) and eat?

This question inspired by a McDonald's meal that had to sit on my desk for an hour.

Bacteria might grow at room temp. but unless you have no immune system to speak of, you'll be fine.

No danger, I do this all the time.

Then again, I may not be the best example of live-long-and-healthy around here.

i dont see why reheating fast food would cause any more bacterial risk than reheating any other type of food. fast food still sucks though.

Food can sit out most of the day before there is any danger and microwaving it would kill it anyway. I like ordering an extra sack of 10 whitecastles when I go specifically to much on later.

Agree, you can easily reheat the burger or chicken. But not the fries. They never taste the same when reheated. On most microwaves a setting of Medium for about 30 seconds will warm it up plenty.

Reheat and go. Besides, if you die of food poisoning your estate can sue, and I'm sure one of your corporate benefits must be free legal services for life.

Remove the meat from the burger, nuke the meat, put it back into the burger, eat.

no real difference between reheating fast food versus a burger that you made yourself (other than the burger you made might be more raw).

I reheated a double cheeseburger from BK the other day... 10 minutes in the oven at 350 to warm it up.

one thing you might want to be careful of is that ketchup can get nasty in the microwave.

Fry's can be reheated pretty well in a pan with some oil. I did it a few weeks ago when I ordered fries from Jim's in Monrovia and they came in a pizza box. Never seen an order of fries that big in my life.

Eat it. Either you survive or the gene pool weeds itself of a weakling that can be brought down by a burger. It's win-win.

Nothing wrong with it, but it might not taste as well. Chinese food is about the only thing I've found that reheats well.

tbh if i'm ever curious i nuke it and take a bite, if it tastes like ass it goes in the trash other than that it goes in my belly.

Place a penny beneath your pickle to make sure the meat heats.

Overall, not a bad 20,000th post.
