Too bad it only lasted for 15 minutes.

The local Citgo must have been trying to pull in some customers. I'm on my way home and see $1.25 a gallon and thought it must be a mistake so I pull in (my truck had 1/4 of a tank left) and sure enough it was $1.25! I proceed to put 19 gallons in my truck and race home (a mile away) to grab my wife's car so I can fill her's up too.

I get back no more than 10 minutes later and it was back to $1.45 :(. I went in and talked to the guys and they said they dropped it for 15 minutes to try and spark some new business.

Oh well, at least I saved almost $4 on the gas for my truck :).

I knew I was gonna get replies like that :p

The Atlanta area has always been one of the cheapest for gas :p.

But imagine if your $1.95 dropped to $1.75 for a few, wouldn't you be a tad bit excited as well?

Well yeah! But they'd be lined up around the block....I probably wouldn't wait it out.

Exactly! I lease my truck so since I'm not owning it for a long time I put the absolute cheapest sh!t I can find in there! I normally hit a Conoco (never heard of it til I moved down here) that's been around $1.42 lately.

The cheapest I've found is $1.59 here (outside Pittsburgh). Typical seems to be around $1.65, though it's a little cheaper in the city.

If I saw $1.45, I would fill up immediately. That's an incredible price. It's like $1.80 here :Q
