Anyone ever seen a piece of software that can grab a screenshot of your machine, then upload it to an FTP site as a JPG at regular intervals?
I have the software for my video camera to do it, but what about for a screenshot?

Yes, I'm bored and thinking of things to do with my time :)

If you want try some fun stuff...

Use the program "EZ macros". Create a macro that does all the steps required for your project. Then play the macro back at the "recorded speed". It will even record exact mouse movements and placement.

TIP: Have all the required programs open, then active them through the task bar while you are recording.

You can also play a trick on someone with this program easy, just record a macro that pauses for a few minutes(or opens on a timer) then opens a DOS box, changes the prompt to- InternetSecurity> and types: Stop sending us Emails, we know who you are and where you live ---lol

I need to do it in the background without taking over the machine.

That dos box thing sounds like the ideal thing to do to the voice support guy here at work though :)

You might try VNC (type "vnc" into google.com and press i'm feeling lucky). It doesn't do EXACTLY what you want to do, but it might accomplish the same effect.

If that fails, try jumping over to analogx.com for a free screen utility, you may need a macro-recorder just record your mouse movements into a script, and trigger the script with your Scheduling Agent...
