Regular phone service over broadband phone service?

Anyone dump their regular home phone services, (verizon, mci, etc) for one of those new phone system over your broadband connection?

I wanted to hear your opinion on it.

We pay 85 dollars a month with Verizon at the moment and I was thinking of getting a plan from ATT for 19 a month for first 6 months and then 34 bucks after that.

I also could get it from my cable company which provides my cable model already for 34 a month also.

What is the good and the bad about it?

Go with Vonage or Packet8. It is alot cheaper
