REGULAR GeForce3 Overclocking?

Could those of you who overclock your Geforce3 post your highest stable core/memory speed? No fancy cooling or anything, I just need info from those using the stock GPU HSF and RAM-sink cooling. I myself is currently running my GF3 at 250/570. I noticed going from 250/550 to 250/570 didn't yield any better results in 3DMark 2001. Moving the core speed bar in RivaTuner higher gave an exclamation symbol so I was wondering if I should go higher for the core speed.

Thanks for your inputs.

You guys are going high.... I run 230/550, I don't even bother with the core speed... never have seen 1 FPS difference no matter how high I OC it too (30mhz made .3 fps diff in Quake 3)

From Anandtech's review of the GeForce3s and my personal experience, you have to increase the core speed along with the memory speed to yield performance improvements. Only increasing the core or memory won't increase the performance at all.

Cool! I also have a Gainward GeForce3. The speeds you got were from the stock cooling right? All I did was remove the stock HSF on GPU and cleaned off the white thermal paste with Goo Gone. I then applied Arctic Silver and that made a huge difference in how I can go with o/cing the core.

Thanks for replying.
