save yourself & get the regular 6800, 512mb 128bit mem is a gimmick to pull in the n00bs ;)

Trust me I know, the 6800 Ultra 512 is not worth the premium, so dont think that the 6800 NU is going to benifit any more.

Especially when they lower the memory interface....

Lets add more memory and then severly bottleneck it!!! yayayayaaya

They usually do that when the "more memory then the gpu can use" cards.

Say the GPU is the horses and the memory is the wagons. You can hitch 4 wagons to one horse, but if you actually filled all four wagons full the one horse couldn't even pull it. In the end, all you end up with is a bunch of empty wagons that you had to pay for anyway. You should buy a card that has a horse for each wagon. :p

If you thought about purchasing the Asus and actually could put up the money for it, i would suggest saving a little more for a 6800gs which would severly outperform both those cards. But if you must choose from the 2 then my vote goes to apollo.
