Regular 20gb ipod or Ipod mini?

Is there really a big diff? Think imma go purchase one or the other tonight, so any help is appreciated. No iPod bashing please, just asking you to vote between the two and why, thanks!

Mini has longer battery... I'm about to sell mine and get a mini. I could live with 14 gigs less music and 6 hours more playing time.

If you want to carry a lot of music around with you all the time, get the 20 gig. If you don't carry that much music around with you, get the Mini.

I'm not seeing why you needed to poll the audience on this one...

Im trying to decide if like, 2 oz less would be beneficial at all. I doubt it'd make a diff. at all when i run/workout, honestly. And the other is only 50 bucks more. The other day i used both and there was barely a diff.

do you really need more than 40 hours music stored on your player, until you can reach the computer again?

If you're doing significant amounts of running with it and you're going to have it on your person, you might want to seriously consider a Flash player. A hard-drive based player will probably be a bit more likely to fail if you're running around with it all the time.

The 2 ounces won't make a difference.

And if you're strictly looking for something to use while exercising, save yourself some money and get a Flash-based player.

What do you want to use it for?

I have a flash based player, it just wasnt enough. Im giving it to my mom. Anyway, i will be lifting with it sometimes (Currently i lift around 4-5x a week) and running with it anywhere from 1-3 times a week. Thanks heh. Mostly i just listen to it in class, trips, etc.

Sounds like you'd be pretty well off with the Mini then, unless you're one of those people (like me) who wants your whole collection with you all the time because you never know what you're going to want to listen to from one moment to the next.

im in the same situation...i want my whole collection with me but i also want a cheaper(disposable) one for work/car. so i got the ipod photo and the mini...damn my discounts
