Registry monitor for windows machines

I am trying to figure out what registry entires a certain prgram makes on one of my machines. I remember long ago there was an app that would monitor the machine before a program was installed, then spit out all of the registry changes that it made. Does anyone know of some freeware app that will do that ?

thanks in advance!

Spybot Search & Destroy has a module that'll monitor autoruns and other keys like that. Otherwise, I know of what you speak but don't know of a specific program. Here's a link with some decent options...

basically im trrying to write a script that polls the registry for the existence of a license key. we need this to track down how many people have installed this particular program. my hope is that if i use a program to monitor and display the registry changes then ill know what keys to search for in the script
