registry key to disable v-sync?

I am at work right now and they were looking to benchmark a system just for the heck of it and they loaded 3dmark2k1. It is a p4 1.4, 512mb pc800, gf2 mx 200 64mb using 12.41 drivers, Windows ME and DX 8.0a. They don't like to install too many programs so installing power strip is not an option.
On 3dmark 2k1 I got 1019 🙁. I figured it should be better than that lol.

BTW is there any other things to take note of?
I have a p3 and AMD machine at home so havent messed with these p4s
