Registry key for runonce?

Im looking for a registry key so when I open internet explorer it will display a particular url. When you set up windows for the first time and open IE it goes to a microsoft page, so it CAN be done. I dont want this page to come up when I boot either, I know where that key is.

I believe it's just the "Start Page" key that's overwritten as soon as you choose a start page of your own. Microsoft sets the key by default to the general info page about the web browser, and then you choose your own start page.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\StartPage

and/or

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\StartPage

Your statement "I dont want this page to come up when I boot either, I know where that key is." is not clear.
No web page should come up when you "boot".

Oh sorry about the confusion, but the runonce key can contain a URL and when you boot it will display that page. Thats all I meant. Thanks for that tip, but I also do not want to change the default home page. I need a way to load the page once and then after that it will default back to the home page that I set.

hey when u figure it out let me know... he he 🙂 u could have a lot of fun w/ that
just think of the possibilities

Ok there is no way to change the page once. You have two options:
1. Change the default home page permanently untill you manually change it back 2. Have a page load immediately booting into windows.

For option 1. the location of the reg key is:

1. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\start page

2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce (enter url here)

Im pretty sure these are the only ways. If you guys find any others let me know.
