Registry Cleaner - XP32

Is there a safe registry cleaner that's free and won't destroy my computer? Last time I used one, it made windows unbootable, granted it was a RC of Seven, but I'm running XP 32bit.

I had 300 some issues CCleaner fixed. PC has been ran for like 5+ years with no reg cleaning D:

His point in his typically terse fashion was that registries don't need to be cleaned, whether they're 1 year, or 10 years old. Not "cleaning" a registry for 5 years is not only unremarkable, it's expected :^)
